I came home from school super early to find my mom cooking soup for me in the kitchen because she knew I was ill. Even though I felt pretty sh*tty, I was still able to have a great dinner with her.
After overloading me with a bunch of medicine and some asian herbal ointments, my mom sat down with me as I ate my soup. We got to catch up about what’s been going on in each others lives. I finally had the chance to share my dance life with my mom. I told her about all the things that I’ve been up to with Bboys Anonymous, sharing stories from our sessions to our fundraisers, even upcoming future events. She laughed at so many of our shenanigans while fundraising on Ring Road. Laughing with my mom seriously made my night. I’m so excited that her and my grandma will be attending Ken-Ya Socal Dance 2012 to watch me perform with Bboys Anonymous :]
God, I thank you so much for blessing me with a mother like her. Please bring her the best this life has to offer. I am forever grateful. This was seriously the remedy I needed.
I love you, mom. Always. Thank you for being you and for everything you do <3
